On-location shooting - Best nature backdrops in Toronto for your branding photo shoot

Evergreen Brick Works Toronto provided the right vibe for this personal branding shoot. Located in the heart of Toronto’s ravine system, this location isn’t just for wedding shoots. It makes a great location for personal branding if your brand is nature based.

Or if you want to share that your brand helps with health and well-being. Or if it is your client’s or your most appreciated experience. You could be a coach or a psychologist whose main storyline is to keep your clients calm, reduce anxiety. Your goals are to inspire and suggest ways for your clients to detach, get more creative or just incorporate a daily walk for fitness.

You could also be a brand where organic, sustainable and environmental concerns are at the forefront of your audience’s concerns as well as being at the forefront of your brand or product.

Maybe you want nature to be at the mainstay of your environmental messaging. Clients today want to know what you advocate for, that you have a cause behind your business and how you are contributing to the ever mounting number of issues we are trying to help with as we move forward into this next chapter of our entrepreneurship. Your brand could even be more direct than that, you could be an environmentalist, an aromatherapist, or a florist for example.

Here are some of my favourite outdoor spots to shoot in Toronto:

Evergreen Brick Works Toronto offers the most lovely natural environment. Perfect for a photo shoot whether it’s branding, lifestyle of headshots. An urban oasis located at Bayview & Rosedale Valley Road …. it has the best of both worlds, haute trails, footbridges with water abound, overarching public art, and beautiful brick buildings and iron art installations for that touch of urban. It also adjoins to many parks including Craleigh Gardens (Castle Frank & Bloor St.)..

Sherwood Park (Mountain Pleasant & Eglinton) also a beautiful environ for midtown Toronto personal branding photos in the natural elements. Located on the east side of Sherwood Ave. and Mount Pleasant Ave., this location has parking, running water and a boardwalk. There is a large off-leash area to be aware of if you’re not wanting to have other smug mugs in your photos.

Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens (just south of Yonge & Chatsworth Dr.) is one of my favourite places to meander and get a combination of feels. It offers so many sumptuous backdrops for a personal branding photo shoot.

Crushed stone walkways are framed by lush greenery. The garden offers balconies, flowers, sunken gardens and trellises. The nice part about the gardens is that they lead to the more forested Blythewood Ravine and continues north (cross Blythewood Rd. & you’re in Sherwood Park). Many looks without walking a long distance which is ideal to get that variety of photographs that you’re looking for. The gardens are situated in the Lawrence Park neighbourhood of Toronto, south of Lawrence with the east side entrance on Yonge St. Parking is relatively easy on side streets as well as down at the bottom of the small roadway of the lawn bowling club.
